As war continues in Eastern Europe, we’ve heard from many of our international users looking for ways they can directly support the people of Ukraine. Like us, they are heartbroken by the images of suffering they see in their newsfeeds and on television screens. It’s hard to stand idly by as people flee their homes, experiencing unimaginable violence and deprivation. The plight of women and children in the region has been particularly moving.
At CEX.IO, this shared pain is deeply personal to us. As long as hostilities persist, there will be an urgent need for humanitarian assistance in Ukraine. We want to facilitate supporting this work any way that we can.
So today, we’re announcing the launch of a CEX.IO Donation Widget, which will direct your crypto donations to critical organizations on the ground protecting and saving lives. The widget was built by members of our team, some still in Ukraine, and/or with families fighting for survival in the region. We are proud of their passion for this effort, which unites ongoing commitments to work and country.
The first organization that will benefit from your generosity is the National Specialized Children’s Hospital of Ukraine (OHMATDYT), which has remained operational throughout the war. You’ve likely seen images of shelled cars with stuffed animals tied to them, in which families with children tried to flee for safety; the destroyed homes and bloodied toys left abandoned. Children are suffering and they need our help.
Get kids the care they need, bring relief to agonized parents, and support medical teams continuing their heroic work.
It takes no more than 20 seconds to contribute a donation that can make a real difference in a child’s life.
More organizations working to save lives in Ukraine will be added in the coming weeks. And in the future, when we hope the war is well past us, we will continue to leverage this widget, working with causes that make a positive difference in the world.
Thank you for your support of this international effort. It takes a village to protect our children.
