Recently Restricted for Card Payments Countries

, April 23, 2018

Recently, more countries were restricted for card payments. The users from those countries will not be able to deposit or withdraw fiat using their cards. To work with fiat, we highly encourage them to use any other payment option available in their country.

The reason behind this restriction is that our payment processor has changed their payment processing rules. According to them, new countries are now restricted for card payments.

Previously, due to the change of rules, the countries listed below have become restricted for withdrawals:

  • Angola
  • Antarctica
  • Bhutan
  • Botswana
  • Bouvet Island
  • Burkina Faso
  • Cape Verde
  • Chad
  • Christmas Island
  • Colombia
  • Cocos Island
  • Comoros
  • Republic of the Congo
  • Cook Islands
  • Cote d’Ivoire
  • Djibouti
  • Egypt
  • Eritrea
  • Equatorial Guinea
  • Falkland Islands
  • Fiji
  • French Guiana
  • French Southern Territories

  • Guinea
  • Guinea-Bissau

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this piece of news. Meanwhile, if you need to withdraw your funds from CEX.IO, you can use any other payment method available for your country. Alternatively, you can also convert your fiat funds in crypto and withdraw them in that manner.

We are always grateful for your understanding concerning this matter. In case we have any other news, we will update you.
