While expanding the activities of CEX.IO, we’ve been doing our best to ensure that all our users get the same experience with the platform. As of July 19, users from Arkansas are now allowed to get verified on CEX.IO. After they do this, they’ll be able to use more options on the platform.
Why should I verify my account?
We ask our users to verify their identities as it helps us understand that our customers are acting legally, just as we are. Because of our KYC/AML obligations, we strongly encourage our clients to provide us with the required information to ensure higher security. Since we’re dealing with money, this procedure is very important as we must act in compliance with the relevant regulations.
For our users, getting verified provides new opportunities and improves the experience with CEX.IO.
After you upload documents to prove your identity, your account type will be upgraded to Verified. With this status, you’ll be able to:
- deposit fiat to CEX.IO after linking your card to your account;
- use a verified card to buy cryptocurrencies;
- use cards issued by banks outside the US to withdraw fiat from the platform.
What should I do?
If you want to verify your identity, please follow the steps below:
- Go to the Verification section in your portfolio.
- Fill in the necessary information (and double-check that it’s correct).
- Upload photos of the required documents.
