Temporary Server Maintenance

, March 17, 2018

On Monday, March 19, 2018, the CEX.IO servers will be undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance. As a result, some of the functionality of the CEX.IO platform will be temporarily unavailable. We expect the full process to take up to 6 hours.

Services to Be Affected

During the maintenance, most of the activities on CEX.IO will be possible as always. However, we would like to draw your attention to three services that will be suspended temporarily.

Maintenance will touch:

  • Ethereum deposits and withdrawals;
  • Stellar deposits and withdrawals;
  • Affiliate program statistics.

This means that during that time Stellar and Ethereum deposits and withdrawals won’t work, and you may experience errors when trying to make them. It is important to note that addresses for depositing will stay the same. Please also note that selling and buying the mentioned cryptocurrencies will be unaffected, and users can trade them as usual. At the same time, customers will be unable to view the statistics on their affiliate activities.

We highly encourage our customers NOT to initiate XLM or ETH deposits and withdrawals during maintenance. Nevertheless, if a user makes a deposit, the funds will be credited to their balance after the system is up and running again.

Maintenance Duration

The maintenance is planned to start at 1:30 PM UTC, and we expect it to take up to six hours. As soon as it is over, all the functionality of the website will be restored, and users will be able to use it as usual. We will update you when everything starts working properly. If the maintenance takes longer, we will inform you via our official channels on Facebook, Twitter, our Status page, and on the Help Centre.

We would like to apologize for any possible inconvenience caused by the temporary unavailability of the mentioned services. We highly encourage you not to use these services during the maintenance as it will lead to issues with the flow of ETH and XLM payments as well as the reflection of affiliate statistics.
