Earlier this month, we were proud to announce the launch of our Donation Widget, which empowers international users to directly support critical organizations on the ground protecting and saving lives in Ukraine. The first cause to benefit from your generosity was the National Specialized Children’s Hospital of Ukraine (OHMATDYT).
This week, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) was added as a vital organization available in the Donation Widget dropdown menu that will put your charitable crypto donations to urgent use.
The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping restore health, safety, education, economic well-being, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.
Right now, the IRC is providing help to people fleeing the crisis in Ukraine, working with local partners in both Poland and Ukraine to provide critical information services, legal counseling and psychological support to refugees fleeing the conflict. The IRC is also distributing medical supplies, procuring essential items such as sleeping bags and blankets for distribution, and providing cash so displaced families can purchase what they need the most.
